August 23, 1992:
A sold-out crowd and a national TV audience saw the Falcons win the first-ever game in the Georgia Dome, 20-10, over the Eagles. John Denver performed the national anthem, while MC Hammer, Travis Tritt and Alan Jackson performed during the day of entertainment.

Rookie sensation Ken Burrow set the record for receiving yards in a game for an NFC receiver when he amassed 190 yards receiving against Detroit. He matched that feat later that season at New Orleans.
